🚗 Getting There

Drive U.S. Highway 2, turning north at the Index turnoff. Drive 15 miles on North Fork Skykomish River Rd and turn left on Forest Road 63. Drive the gravel road two miles to the trailhead.

📝 Trip Notes

Favorite hike of the year so far -- a great trail, good workout, and a gorgeous lake
Started the hike just after 8am and we had the lake all to ourselves
Mosquitos weren't a problem, but the bees were a nuisance -- Chris discovers he's not allergic to bee stings
